My name is Brendan, I manage the sporting goods department for a local Mom&Pop Hardware store. A few years ago A friend who came back from college brought back a mini-elec ....first time I saw an airsoft gun. That same year, I convinced the owner of our company to allow me to start selling Airsoft in our 2 locations. As time has gone on, I've learned to do repairs & upgrades (Self-taught, so I'm always looking to learn more ). & am always expanding the selection & services I can offer the community.

I own 2 AEG's ATM & 2 Gas Pistols, as well as BDUs & Vest. My primary background is w/ HighPowered AirRifles, but as airsoft is soo much easier to safely shoot in the suburbs & Quite fun to tinker with, I've been getting into it more & more. I know next to nothing about mil-sim, but I think I'd like to check it out this spring.

welcome welcome, Joe, Eric and me live in northfield so you are right next door to us, next time we have a airsoft night or a game you have to come out. My first airsoft gun was a springer bought from the bess in northfield like 4 or 5 years ago.

Yea and Im right down the street from the store in Glenview, so I could get in touch with you easily if for some reason I needed to. But like matt said, you should definately come out to some events, or just some of the "airsoft nights"

SureShot, I've got a new catalog from our supplier, Next time you're by the store, Drop in & I'll be happy to show it to you. They've added some pretty cool stuff to their line-up.

I'm going to be putting together an equipment/gear order from Leapers Inc. (if you're familiar w/ their products) (I have the '07 catalog from them too.) sometime in March, If anybody is interested in any of their products, lemme know.

It's been a busy couple of weeks for me Airsoft-wise, I had a complete re-build of a Marui M16a2, a upgrade/conversion of an Mp5a4 to a SD6, & upgraded my 2 G&G's. I think I've finally got the hang of gearbox work(though shimming is still a PITA). I should also mention that I've a mini-metal lathe (7x12) if anyone needs some custom machining, I can do brass/plastic/aluminum & Some steels.

which Bess do you work at the one in glenview or the one in northfield? because ill stop in and see if this catalog is the same one i saw a last year. Plus its always fun to shoot the s**t.

Glenview, we have better Selection & Prices than the NF store......not to mention a more friendly staff.(Shhhhh )

Call ahead if at all possible, I do ALOT of other stuff there.....It would be best if I can be sure I'll have my schedule clear & then I can chat w/o being rushed. It's a new catalog, just came out last week. It's so new, they've not yet received all the products from the manufacturers yet. When you call/come-in mention this site.....I've a lousy memory for names, so a reference helps alot.

i'd like to get a look at that catalouge (i stop by bess every so often since that's where the bus drops me off).

I'm looking into getting setup w/ a couple of new airsoft wholesalers.....most notably E-Hobby Asia, they've got a eclectic selection of hard to find items & LOTS of upgrade parts. Waiting to hear back from them (keeping the fingers crossed).

That same day, I was tinkering w/ my m4 & managed to snap the mag catch (the design of which Sucks), so ordered a new Ambi catch to replace it. At the same time I ordered a solid stock for my M4, then I'll be able to run it on a 9.6v 3000mh bat

Can anyone reccomend a good set of beginners goggles (w/ the appropriate ANSI rating) that would accomodate perscription lenses underneath? I'm hoping for something in the $25-$30 range.....

galls has nice glasses that are full seal and pretty nice.

Like all glasses they will fog and if its a really hot day the foam begins to itch on your face if its the first time you wear them but after that they are fine. I took a hit right between the eyes from Adam and it didnt even leave a mark
