yea, but for that deal i think i would love an mp5. its only your first gun, if you want you can always save up your money and buy a new one then sell it. almost everybodys first gun isnt quite the one they want cuz the one they want is just a little out of their price range

I agree with Birdman the first gun I got I totally loved it till I really got out there and realized that all the even more expensive guns are totally more kick ass. The nice thing about airsoft guns is that as long as you keep good care of them you can and treat them right you can usually get a good resale value on them down the road.

I'm not thinking of buying any camo because I have a set of camo pants and since I'm growin' fast I don't want to spend $50 on something that I might only use for a short period of time.

One thing that I would spend the most time on is the vest that you buy. It really took me forever to find out what type of vest that really felt comfortable on me and fit the role that I liked to play. My recommendation would be that if there is any way to try out some vests before you buy one, do it. A good vest that you really like, I think from my experience is the second most important thing following your gun

That's what i assumed. So I should really just order the gun off the internet and then buy the vest, mask, and gloves in person.
The glove size throws me off though, because I have no idea what it is.

I got all my vest from the internet and I really like the one that I have so I don't think that it is really necessary to buy it in person, but when looking for the vest that I currently have I spent hours online comparing pictures and prices and looking for the one I liked the most. The thing that really helped me out was by the time I got the vest I have now I had played in a fair share of airsoft games so I got to see all different types of vests and I also got to use a lot of different vests to get a feel for them. The hard part about what type of vest that you get is that it really is a personal choice. While people can give you good advice it really comes down to seeing how you play and how you utilize a vest in a game to see what you like the most.

I like to keep it cheap, and oddly enough my second choice was the cheapest one.

You may want to ask people at games if you can try their vests on to see if you like it. I suggest doing this at the start of the day, before the owner starts sweating in it.

So at an airsoft night I should just try on everyone's vests and such?

When it comes to gear you don't have to go all out - start small with cheap and durable stuff like ALICE gear, and then move your way up.

I say boots come second to a gun. That's just me. Gun, boots, hydration (be it water bottles, canteens, or even a hydration pack), BDUs, vest, then accessories (knee pads, gloves, etc.)

I'd say find yourself a sturdy pair of boots that are the right size for your feet.

I would deffinatley not reccomend black combat boots On hot days it feels like you feet are on fire and it's not very easy to take combat boots off and let your feet cool down. If i were you I'd deffinatly get like hike boots or something. if you get hiking boots you can wear them to school and stores and all that. if you were combat boots everyone thinks your a goth (esspecialy if your wearing black)Sorry if I got a little off topic.

I disagree, Idez. I don't wear a black pair of boots, but I do wear a pair of dark gortex boots and my feet have never been more comfortable. They are a bit heavy for summer play, but they really don't attract any heat. Airsoft guns are black and I don't ever remember mine getting really hot while I was using it (if I left it out in the sun, it would bake). Most people play in the woods where the trees block out a good amount of sunlight. I also don't think people would think you are a goth for wearing black boots. Whatever you buy, make sure it has a good ankle support and you may want to get a pair that's waterproof.

Lt dan always said that it is very important to change your socks when u get a chance. cause the worst thing you could have is wet socks.

you see even if u wear gym shoes, you are fine until your feet get wet. cause wet feet are a pain in the ass. thats why they created waterproof boots..on my to buy list... so until u get some $$ bring socks with you..a few good pairs of socks.

Combat boots are generally leather thats why they get so hot. gortex isn't as hot It's warm enough in the winter but cool enough in the summer. As for the goth thing I guess that was pretty retarded
