Speed test of a VFC HK416 with a PGC Prowin 8mm gearbox upgrade.

Even I'd be somewhat worried facing this thing. I don't know if even an autowinding box mag could keep up. Would definately be great for the intimidation factor.

I wouldn't mind going up against one (from a distance), but what I don't like is how the person firing it will be the type that doesn't call themselves out.

WOW.... i think i know what my next purchase will be lol. I looked it up and its about 230 USD but it comes with eveverything except a set of gears, i don't think i'll put that much into it but i can probably see a new cylinder set (less than 1/3 of the price of the gearbox).
on a similar note, i had to send mine to taiwan so i don't know when i'll be able to test and upgrade mine.
matt, sorry to say but that thing could out shoot both of your guns

Haha. That thing in the video, of course. But you still need to know how to use it. I would take you on if you had that gun against either of ym guns. Maybe even my springer. LOL haha, but w/e, its a nice gun.

why taiwan? i just sent my m4 to airsoft atlanta and they did a great job dropping in my systema gear box and tested it..and i could easily get a hold of them. i have done it before and could not have been happier. the only thing that i would worry about would be customs, i have heard some scary stories and i would try to stay away from sending it in and out of the country, though so far (knock on wood) i have had no serious problems with them.

i didn't send it directly to them, i sent it to kastway first and they redirected it to taiwan for repair or replacement under warenty (i know i spelled that wrong), but my gun didn't have the HK trademarks and it had the ornge tip so i'm not too worried (knock on wood hehe).

I don't have a problem facing something like that in the woods (just pop him from a distance with my M-14NM), but it's pretty clear that the test aeg is set up for cqb. Given how things went at OP Takedown, and some of the close calls we had with safety, that thing would just add to the problems. Especially with the likelyhood of point blank fire.
On the other hand, with that 100-round mag rule, you wouldn't have had to worry about being pinned down for too long.

How do you figure? They didn't test the fps of the gun, so we don't know how strong it really is. Beyond that, I'm not aware of any place that would ban or restrict an airsoft gun for having a high rate of fire. I do know that you can change the spring in that PGC/Prowin gearbox easily, so if it was shooting hot, you could swap out a weaker spring in a few minutes.

Not to mention, trying to take anything on with two pistols at once just makes me giggle. It would be hard enough to shoot lefty, even harder one handed. On top of that, doing so while putting equal focus on firing a weapon in your right hand..
You would get your rear-end handed to you my friend.
Thank you Counter-Strike and John Woo for making two pistol shooting seem useful.. Lord knows it isn't in the real world.

its not the point of controlling. its more of lacking fire power. double pistols might be good going up against another pistol. but any gun with medium range will take a pistol out in no time. this is something i would love to see

We will test that, someday we will go out in the woods, I will have my one pistol. You try and take me out with your "Dualies"
Ambidexterity has little to do with it. How you will line up shots with one eye on two guns boggles me quite a bit.
You make me laugh lol

Agreed, shooting akimbo is probably on eof the biggest and stupidest mistakes that Hollywood ever made possible. However, there are two schools of thought when it comes to lining up shots: SIghted and unsighted. Everyone's got their own way. I hope you've got yours, for the sake of staying alive out there.
But yeah. Akimbo == Stupid.
Thank you Hollywood. Let us cleanse the gene pool a bit more please.

I'm literally laughing out loud trying picture someone aiming two pistols at once, one with each eye. I'm sorry, but are ridiculous. If you know someone with ambidextrous hands and eyes, let me know.
Back on topic...I'm willing to bet that the fps of this gun is well below normal field limits. Seeing how fast the ROF is, I would imagine the spring must be relatively weak in order to be pulled back that quickly. Secondly, I wonder how long a battery, and a box of bb's would last with this gun. Not to mention concerns about the durability of the gearbox.
