Well I thought that this one was going to be a goody but I was completely proved wrong. The externals on the gun are really nice, CA has always been good with that (their newer versions), but the vertical grip and all the rails on the barrel were wobbly. Other than the the set up is really nice.
Now for the internals. I couldn't really hear how everything sounded because I never shot it! The crane stock is a piece of crap. ALL of the wiring is put together so badly. The wires started falling out of the gun! This was the day after getting it. Wires were falling out of connectors, falling out of the base of the gun. I'm sorry but this gun is no where near worth 410$$. Go with the SPC if you want short and a lot of places to mount things.

Yeah, the spc is a good one, but I wouldn't know about the cqb. But if you want a good stock, go with the G&P crane stock. I just bought one for my CA SPC and it rocks. It takes a little bit of modification in order for it to work properly, but it's well worth it.
Actually, after thinking about, I have played with a CA CQB. I actually liked it a lot. The stock didn't seem too bad, the wires did get in the way in a lot when putting the battery back in and all, but it shot quite well. But I would have to agree with you that the stock does need to be thought over some more.
Are you planning on putting a lot more detail in this review, or is this it?

Well we are sending it back anyway so whatever. What do you mean about needing modification for the SPC to work?

i'd choose the ris over the spc as an alternative for the cqb. they both have the same front end but the ris has a extendable stock.

RIS if you want a gun with some cool features, like retractable stock, or the SPC if you want large batteries/

Oh, when you get the g&g stock, it comes with instructions on what to do and how to do it. But basically it requires you to cut some metal off of the rear end of the receiver and the end of the stock tube thingy majiger. It's not much, and it doesn't harm it at all. But if you are going to go with the SPC I would reccomend getting the G&G retractable stock. If your getting the full stock for the battery size, you can fit up to a 10v battery in these G&G ones. It's awesome! I would very highly reccomend it. I got mine from:

No, the tube thingy majiger is the tube on the end of the receiver. And the buffer tube that comes with the G&P stock is different than a regular buffer tube. So it wouldn't really matter if you got an already existing retractable stock anyways. And on the SPC, the wiring is already wired to the back of the gun. With the RIS you would have to string the wires to the back yourself.

what i was thinking it that if you buy the G&P stock you'd be modifying the buffer tube so modifying the buffer tube that comes with the ris should be a bit more cost effective.

Good to know about the CQB, I was just thinking about getting one. What do you think about the SPC now that you have it?
