I would save up for a higher end M-14. Classic Army just came out with theirs.

There are only 2 things going for the AGM M14. One is the price. The other is that the AGM will take standard gears. But there's enough TM M14 gear sets out there now to make it a non-issue, and the G&G M14 always took regular gears.
So the only advantage the AGM has is price. That's about it.

i've not had any problems with my agm m14 and those on the forums that have purchased them have not said they've had any problems. however the two members on my team that have GG m14s have had problems with theirs. one is functional at times - he's still got quirks to work out; the other still hasn't fixed his problems - as far as our last meet.
i didn't want to spend another sh!t load of money on an aeg i'm not going to use most of the time (when i don't want to run around so much)- i still like to use my m15 most of the games. i certainly think it's a good buy for me.
that's my opinion, others are certainly entitled to theirs. take it as you will.

Most of the reviews I've read on the Star SOPMOD M14 (Mk14 EBR) were pretty bad. Not all, some said it was okay, but most were bad. Plus, extra mags are damn near impossible to find. But I have no personal experience with the Star, and we all know how reviews can sometimes go...
If you want that Mk14 EBR look, you might as well just get the Mauri M14, and one of the EBR kits (King Arms, G&P, or TGS). That would look much more like the real EBR than the Star version.

I am all for spending money on airsoft guns but a $320.00 gun and a $450.00 Conv. kit is a little high for me. but if the UTG/AGM M-14 worked with the Convertion kit, then i am all for it.
