OPERATION FALLEN VALOR:
Gulf of Oman- A US Reconnaissance plane is missing, last reported searching for radio signals from suspected Taliban forces in the Western mountains of Afghanistan. PLS (Personnel locater system) beacons have been detected inside the borders of Iran, just West of the border with Afghanistan. Due to increased tension between Iran and the United States a covert rescue mission will be attempted. US Special Forces will be airlifted to the Iran/Afghanistan border and hike into the Iranian countryside. The Primary mission is of retrieving the flight crew as well as the "black box" of the missing RC-135. Your mission must remain a secret, all unit markings and dog tags will remain inside Afghanistan. Any hostile contacts must be eliminated completely or avoided. Your mission is to rescue the missing flight crew and escort them safely back across the border. Destroying any remaining electronics is also a high priority. Air support as well as medical evac will not be possible. There are currently 3 flight crew unaccounted for, PLS locators place them near a small village 5 miles from the Afghanistan border. Expected IRG (Iranian National Guard) forces in the area should be light and resistance is expected to be minimal.
REQUIREMENTS-
This will be a scenario game with no breaks in the action except for lunch. There will be a planned break in the action (no new missions) from 1PM-2PM but the game will not be stopped. There will be medic rules, respawn rules, ammo limits and uniform requirements.
Medic Rules: We will be borrowing the Elgin City River Rats medic rules. Each team will be given a certain number of medics. Medics will be given an armband that must be worn when functioning as a medic as well as a medic kit. The medic kit consists of a pair of clothespins (one red, one blue), a plastic syringe, bottle of water and a bandage.
1. Medic lays player down on back if not in position
2. Takes red pin and places on wrist cuff to show wounded has pulse.
3. Takes Blue pin and puts on wounded collar representing clearing of airway.
4. Takes syringe and draws 20 or cc's from the vile containing water simulating morphine, Injects wounded in arm.
5. Takes bandage and wraps arm (or wherever wounded was hit) to simulate time taken to wrap (2ft section 3'' wide)
6. Puts it all back into med kit and is running to next wounded
Respawn Rules: Players will have an unlimited number of respawns. However when a player returns to HQ to respawn he must remain in the base for a 5 minute penalty. He may reload mags/eat/drink but not engage the enemy until his 5 minutes is up. There will be a clock (digital) at each HQ as well as a clib board sign in sheet. Write time in and callsign- when 5 minutes is up you may return to play. The HQ is a viable target to enemy attack. If the HQ is under attack then respawns will still be allowed but no reloads. If the enemy is able to enter the HQ (or destroy with satchel charge or rocket) then no respawns for 10 minutes.
Ammo limits: Players may only carry 1000 rounds of ammunition. They may bring additional ammo to the HQ, but patrols are only allowed 1000 rounds carried. 1000 rounds includes any ammo carried for a secondary. Support guns will have a limit of 2500 rounds total carried. Support guns are limited to replicas of actual support guns, i.e. M60, M249, MG36, RPK ect.
All guns will be chrono'd at the field using field .2 gram bbs. All AEGs must chrono under 400 fps w/ .2 bb. Sniper rifles will be allowed 450 fps with and only be allowed semi automatic or bolt action. There is a 25' minimum engagement distance with sniper rifles.
Uniform requirements are:
US spacial forces will wear be wearing any Tan based BDU.
IRG (Iranian National Guard) forces will be wearing any green based BDU.
We would like to keep to the uniform requirements. If you have mixed BDU's your uniform will be considered whatever top (shirt) you have on. If we have uneven teams we will be forced to use armbands again...
All players must wear full seal ansi rated goggles. Any players under 18 will be required to wear a full PB mask.
Grenades:
The use of dummy grenades will not be allowed, only those grenades that propel bbs will be effective.
Rocket launchers/mortars:
These will be used for scenario objectives or for building destruction only. Anyone inside a building within 15' of where a rocket impacts will be considered hit.
Satchel charges: Each team will be issued a number of satchel charges. These charges will destroy any buildings they enter, and will kill any players within 25' of detonation.
Field fee is $28. BBs and green gas as well as hot dogs/soda will be available @ the field.

Regards,
The Midwest Airsofters Team
Who else is planning to go? I'm looking to play one of the downed aircrew, and Ordo (remember him?) is planning to join me.
I also might be able to dig up some old DCUs (properly sanitized of course) for those interested in joining the US side. Somewhere I have both the 3-color and older 6-color sets.
Note: The game is on May 20th, not the 5th as on the Game Attendance page.
