Elite Tac Vest

Guarder SOG Vest

TacForce Commando Vest

I am looking to get SOG Vest, for 170.00, well um not exactly, I was planning to put it on my birthday list, Uh so I am looking for a vest that would fit Both AK Magazines and M4/M15/M16 Magazine? recommendations please.

Check www.redsoldier.com if you are looking for a vest that can hold AK magazines.

I personally recomend this
www.redsoldier.com/Rus...tegory=454

The M23 Pioneer Chest Rig, its nice, its comfortable and it can hold 8 AK magazines. I have had mine for going on 3 years now.

The M23 is a great vest, I've tried one on before but never bought one, just don't need one right now.

Any mag pouch that can hold three m4 mags should be able to hold two AK mags. It will be a tight fit because of the height of the mags. All of the vests you posted aren't that great and you won't be able to fit AK mags in them easily. I mean, if you're going to spend $170 on a repro vest, why not just pay money for the real stuff?

In the end, I suggest buying a vest meant to hold AK mags, or you might get it to your place and realize that it'll only carry one mag in each pouch.

Just get MOLLE vest and then get all the pouches, it's so much more organized and you can also move stuff around if like a mag pouch or something is to far back. Plus, all the straps and padding make it feel so comfortable...

EDIT : This is what my MOLLE vest looks like.

For the price and what you will get out of it, the M23 is one hell of a chest rig. If we make it out to the same game sometime in the near future I will let you try mine out so you can get the feel of it before you decide if you want to go and order one for yourself.

Well considering for the price on the vest i got, its a get deal. The utg cross draw vest from depot53.com is amazing. Fits anytype of mags (AK also). These are the stats on it,

- 4 Deluxe Adjustable Rifle Mag Pouches hold 1 to 2 of most popular mags. Velcro closures, drain holes & elastic to hold mags tight. - Deluxe Universal Holster has adjustable position, or can be replaced by the Velcro attachable mag pouches.
- 2 Large Internal Zippered Map/ Document Pouches
- 3 Deluxe, adjustable height pistol mg/fashlight pouches.
- Attachable elastic shot shell cartridge holder
- 1 Large ID Pouch.
- Sniper shoulder pad
- Heavy-duty back loop system for carring additional gear/tools.
- High-quality pistol belt with pouches
- High-quality zippers
- Fully adjustable in girth and length – One size fits most, Waist fits up to 54", Belt fits 36"-46"

Its a very good vest. Holds everything i need and hasnt given me any problems yet. Also comes with 2 extra mag pouches that you can put in the place of the pistol holster. For 50 bucks, cant be beat. This is the one i got, but there are many other colors.

www.depot53.com/Tac+Ge...U+UTG.html

Any other questions, just pm me or tell me here.

Those crappy wanna-be tac vests will not hold many AK mags.

Michael, what army did your father serve in? It's interesting that your dad used a Russian issue vest in the army.
