My moronic town (Cicero) has laws about airsoft guns and cant use them around here. I cant constantaly travel 45 minutes or an hour just to use it. Im all for buying everything and making an airsoft war something I dont due often but do occasionaly. I live about 2 or 3 miles from the city of chicago and actually 2 blocks away from the suburbs. Does anyone know of any closer teams towards me or any advice at all on where i cold use it without such a hastle and very large commmute?

Don't play airsoft in your backyard. It's illegal. While it is also illegal to own airsoft guns where you live, it's not a problem if you don't take them outside. No cop is going to bust down your door if you've got a gun hanging on your wall or sitting in the corner.

We all play airsoft at fields, none of us have fields in our backyards. This is MilSim, and we require large areas to play with lots of people. This isn't a forum for back yard airsofting.

The games we play reqire a car to get to. If you don't have a car or if you're parents aren't willing to drive, don't bother getting a gun until you can get out to games.

Not all teams have their own airsoft field. Many have to play at public events more than and hour out of our way. As L337 wrote, if you can't make it to a public event, I would not recommend getting into airsoft because you'll either find yourself never using it or getting in trouble with it.

I have to agree with both L337 and Admin,You can play with us but we play only in elk-grove,so don't get one if your not planning to travel, well if you really want you can shoot in you basement if you have one (targets) Otherwise they will just collect dust.
