Ok so I bought an A-15 cybergun (let me pause for the booing to stop) it was a total impulse buy and now its having problems, I worsened the matter by taking it apart. I cant find a very helpful website to aid me and I'd like to just have someone else fix it. Anyone here do repairs or know of a place that I could get it fixed at in the chicagoland area. Please dont respond with negative noob related comments, save your breath. I'd like to get my first AEG fixed and eventually move on to a better one, I am now fully aware of this guns shittiness.

I'm not going to comment on the gun's quality, but I will say that some repair places simply will not work on anything Cybergun sells due to, putting it lightly, poor business practices on the part of the Cybergun company.
That said, the nearest repair shop to you would likely be www.aaatacticalairsoft.com
There is also a book floating around somewhere dedicated to repairing and upgrading the A-15, but I haven't seen it for a while.

not intending this as a negative comment. but save the money that you would use to repair for a gun like TM ICS OR CA, or even STAR and JG. ive heard some good things about JG, and they come with a good price tag

Oh cool, Actually my Girlfriend feels bad so shes giving $300 tommorrow towards a new gun. I really dig the CA33 (I like G3's alot), I dont plan on spending more than $350 on a gun, I found a site selling it for $249 and it has upgrade options available. I'm new but Im already aware of the CA vs. TM thing and Im pretty set on the CA33, anyone have any tips, I just want this other one fixed so I have a back up gun, I want to start playing for real once I get a better rifle. Thanks for being cool about it any if you can help me at all, I'd appreciate it.

One thing that I have heard from another person on HEAT was that the ca33's were notorious for snapping in half at the receiver joint.

The first release CA33E were notorious for snapping at the reciver joint. Mine never did, although it has been well over a year since I have used it.

Now I've seen everything.
I was up at Dan's (AAA Tactical) this evening when Engl brought his A-15 in for repairs. I remember the earlier Cybergun/DPMS A-15s and their non-gearbox stuff. Their newer box actually seems TM-compatable, and had metal bushings stock. All he needed was a new gearset (we used ICS), and his gun was rockin'.
Still overpriced and it's Cybergun, but in a twisted way it was kinda cool to see that the internals were actually halfway decent.

I had thought we were too, I only found out because I was there when it was fixed.
This is the one he got:
www.softairusa.com/pro...1_gun.html
It claims 440 fps, which I doubt after last evening. Maybe with .12 bbs, but even that would be a stretch.
