I owned this item for about a year. It is a great shoulder holster and fits Desert Eagles too. And for $10 you can't go wrong.

I would say leg or hip. Sometimes leg holsters get in the way, especially with the cheap ones. They can move around and such. A hip holster is nice but I personally don't like them. I'd say select one depending on how your LBV or rig you choose works out.

From my experience the leg/thigh holster tends to get in the way when you're playing in a more cqb or urban like area. Especially if you have to make a lot of quick movements i would suggest carrying the least amount of accessories as possible. However, it is a trade of that you make becuase you then have the back up that can come in handy.
Pretty much any hoslter is going to get in the way at some point, but I thought the thigh holster was the most bad ass and that's why I got it.
But it's pretty much personal preference.

Personally I like shoulder holsters best, but hip ones are okay too.

Shoulder holsters work good for your loadout Jon, or at least I would figure. Webgear with a Y or H harness. That could be something to look into too if you are interested SureShot; web gear instead of a vest.

My bad. I was just browing our photo gallery and came across a picture of me wearing my vest and the shoulder holster. Now that I remember, I think it worked out pretty well but I still wanted a thigh holster so everything wasnt loaded up on my chest.
