Me and a friend ended up making rules for an airsoft game we call Superman. When a person is hit, they're not always out. Here's how it works.
Arms/Legs: Can't use that arm or leg. Limp on shot leg or barely crawl if both are shot. Can't use arms except for operating gun (Like springers). If shot in both arms, barely be able to hold your gun up.
Chest/Head: If you're hit here, you're out.
Lower body/Abdomen/Groin: Two shots required to be out.
This keeps a game going for alot longer and makes for some inturesting moments. It's best played with springers, and I've yet to give it a full try with AEG's and GBB's.

That sounds pretty cool actually. If you think about it, it actually seems more realistic. the only thing wrong with that is, people would have to tell the truth, and keep track of where they are hit. And there is only one person who would be gay and cheat....o wait he got banned from Hoffman Estates airsoft!!! LOL thats just to bad. Well i guess we wouldnt have that problem then.....so i complement you on that idea, i really like it!

Yes we have thought about this type of gameplay as well. However, there isnt anybody to keep track of all the points and I could see even some of us having trouble keeping track of just our own hits ... not mentioning everyone else's hits.
Sounds cool, but its a bit farfetched

Like I said, best played with springers because it's not as fast paced. Besides, you play with what you felt unless more than one person collaborates about a hit. Just be honest and have fun.

More realistic? haha well, if we want to be realistic about gaming you would have to realize that the idea of "one shot = out" is damn realistic. A simple thing you people may have forgotten about from boyscouts is a little thing called shock.
Basically say you got shot in the arm, instead of not using that arm in real life, chances are the overacting nerves would send your body into shock.
So yeah shock would end someones chances of staying involved in a battle in most cases but its not too often you hear of real life instances of people taking a bullet in the groin or stomach and walking it off.
Just my two cents...

True true but there is also something to be said about the effects of addrenalin. There are many stories about soldiers who get shot in say, the leg and keep fighting until contact is broken then finally notice that his lag has a blody hole in it. So under the correct circumstances, being shot doesn't always put you out of the fight.
Peace Y'all!

Well played, well played indeed I guess it is all circumstancial. I suppose I just feel that would be a difficult way to play and would be a pain in the ass to keep personal tabs on my own wounds.

It's dubbed "Superman" for a reason. As unrealistic as it may be, it's still fun, so bash it all you want with reason, doesn't make it any less enjoyable.

Us guys in West Chicago have a style like that but we play with medics in the game. If a person is hit in the legs or arms, they may walk to the medic, but not shoot. A chest or core body hit results in being stuck were you are until the medic can get to you, and a head shot = out. Makes for a longer game with the variable of having to protect someone on your team.

foregot to mention how we keep tabs on how is hit. The medic has a role of orange tape that they put on the persons arm, when its tied they are able to re-enter the game. It realy only is good if the person has only one extra life after being hit the first time, so on the second hit you are done. So the poor bastards who were shot in the head by me dont have to sit doing nothing for to long.
