Well, after 3 years of being together as a team, the members of H.E.A.T. have decided to split up and head our separate ways. Some of us have found spots on other teams, and some of us have left airsoft all together. The breakup was along friendly lines, and will hopefully be for the better as former teammates and friends spread out to different teams in the area, to form stronger bonds among other teams in the Chicagoland Airsoft community.

All of the members of H.E.A.T. would like to thank the various teams and people who have helped our team out in the past 3 years, it was much appreciated.

We plan on keeping the website up, so if you are a regular to this site, please feel free to keep dropping by.

Best wishes to all,
The Hoffman Estates Airsoft Team

Thank you all for the good times and the help over the time that I've been here. I will definately still drop in on the forums, but I just wanted to say my goodbye. We gave it a hell of a run.

Although we've gained so many members, it's been real hard keeping everyone active and involved with the team. Like Freezer26 said, we are breaking up on good terms. Most of our active members have joined up with other teams or have created their own.

I am making some changes to the website too. Check out the roster. It's been a blast playing with all of you. I'll probably be at a game or two and I'll still be on the site all the time.

Special thanks to everyone who has used the pages that I created (Roster, Attendance page, ToDo List, Forum Attendance mod). I really learned a lot about programming just from fulfilling the needs of our team and playing around with the website. You guys were a great help.

I have had a great time with HEAT, hell all of my airsoft knowledge was gained through fellow teammates, I have to give a huge personal thanks to Adam for running the website and really keeping things together for not only the team but all the other posters.
This summer has been really hard for airsoft on me, I work a lot and have only played 2 games so far but I am looking forwards to seeing everyone on the field and keeping in tough with what was a 2nd family. Like Adam I am going to school in Chicago this fall and hopefully moving there too. If anyone ever needs me you all know how to get me. Keep playing and stay safe.

I too would like to thank everyone in HEAT for helping me out in getting started with airsoft. I've had a great time in the short time I have had to get to know all of you. Thanks to all of those who have helped me out in person and online. Mustangpwr, you were a great help; also thanks to birdman, sureshot, toggle, Atlas, and definitely Adam for keeping this great site running (even though I've never had the chance to meet you!).

I will see you all on the field soon. For those of you joining new teams, if you are looking for members, contact me.

sorry to hear this guys. I didn't get to play with you guys as a whole, just in random spurts here and there. It was always a blast. If anyone in the area is looking to join a regularly active team, feel free to contact me. I'm always looking for new member for the Midwest Mercs. Especially ones that keep active a couple times a month. Hopefully i'll see you guys on the field.

Shocked. Holy crap. Even though I played at just a few events with you guys, I was always impressed with your professionalism; 'specially for being a crew of younger people (No disrespect implied). Not only did you all go out of your way to answer questions posed by others, you treated everyone you met fairly and with respect; both on and off the field.

I have nothing but the utmost respect and highest regards for you all, and hopefully I'll see you on a field somewhere along the way.

May your aim stay true.
