Legal? Why Wouldn't it be legal? It's owned by the DeKalb Forge Company, granted they are expanding so our field is shrinking but yes, it is legal.

Ok...Do you guys have written premission from the Forge company to play on their land? And where are those pics???

Verbal Permission, And regardless It's inaccessable by vehicle, you have to go in on foot, And When I get a chance to get out there with a camera I will post them.

Thats cool and all but im pretty sure that the only way that any of HEAT would come out there is if you had written permission. I mean if you get in trouble, you cant go and say "Oh...well this guy said we could play here"

We've played with teams that only had verbal permission before so it really just depends on how things work out. Some of us may be interested, but other may not want to risk anything especially since players like myself may be hauling around $1000 worth of property -- not worth confiscation.

Well BlueFox if you want people to come out im sure some would show up. I may depending on who is going.

Even though you got verbal permission, I'd still strongly suggest to get written permission. That way you can supply hard evidence that we can play.

Thats what i was trying to tell him earlier. If the people said that you can play there then im pretty sure they wouldnt have a problem writting something up saying that you can play in the property. With written permission, im sure you would also get a lot more people to come out to games.

He did say it's small though, that might be a problem with inviting 30+ people.

hey adam, If this is true, i don't suppose you'll come play in elk grove with verbal permission? the field has been used for 5 years with no problems. weekly games, something to think about.

It all depends on the situation. The places I played at before with verbal permission were people I knew personally, owned the property, or had many years of practice without any problems. The latter of the three might change my mind and get me to go, but like sureshot said, "if they don't mind verbal permission, then why not something written?".

We should meet up sometime. I know our team is starting a new thing for meeting other airsofters that we will have mentioned in our next newsletter so that might work out.

the biggest thing with written permission where we play, is that i just don't know who exactly to ask. the verbal permission is from the elk grove police. so i dunno what else to say on the subject. we are trying to get in touch with the mayor of elk grove, but if that doesn't work, we're stuck where we are at. the offer is always open to come check out our field and meet the whole team. sundays at 10am.

tboz have you tried going to the precint and asking someone there? it's relatively simple, you asked a police officer and s/he gave you consent that it was okay; go back to that officer and ask for a written permission.
