Knight sent me to you to ask about Oakley gloves. Do you have any experience with the MTB first factory gloves? I was looking to get the kind with carbon fiber knuckles, but my distributer can't get them for me.
Thanks man,
Elliot

Alrighty, here's the deal:
I have great experience (as does Knight) with those gloves. I have virtually all good things to day about them. They had a few small flaws but overall a wonderful glove.
BUT you are definitely S.O.L. on that front. They are discontinued. I may be able to dig up a SM every once in a while but that would be a lucky day. My store hasn't had those in about a year. They've since already released a new glove. Honestly if you have your heart set on these:
...your best bet is eBay. If you just want some quality gloves with an "O" on them, snag some of the newer version (which IMHO are a little better).
So hit back up here with your thoughts and maybe we can work something out from there.

Yeah, they're worth it. Kevlar knuckles instead of carbon fiber so that works well too. Doesn't have the support like the first ones, but has a more comfortable fit.

If you're looking for crazy armored gloves, and you have to have the reinforced knuckle action, Wiley-X makes a set now...
...Not as pretty, more expensive, but they've got the hard knuckles for punching stuff...
Wiley X Combat Assault Gloves
But personally, I <3 my Oakleys.

Nah, I'm seeing some oakleys in my future.
I got another hook up. Size large is coming my way, but it's refurbrished - it's missing the O.

I DO, a friend of mine is a swat officer in Crystal Lake and he said he can get Oakley SI (special issue) gear for 50% off but there wasn't much of a selection, glasses, boots, ect, ect. I'll see what the deal is on this stuff, and check out the vault store in aurora they have pretty good prices.

Really, which SRT guy is it? I wonder if I know him.
I deal with the CLPD a lot in my line of business...
No sarcasm intended or anything, I'm truly curious.
