So after I bought my KSC USP .45 in December I could not help but want to do more to it. At first I wanted a threaded barrel and a silencer, however after much thought I realized it would be too expensive for something that would be useless. An airsoft silencer does not do anything to the gun, it just makes it look really really cool. And since I already have a really really cool looking pistol (the non working Maruzen P99...which will soon come back to life..I hope) I decided to make this gun a lil different. So what I needed was a tac light...but not just any tac light, I wanted the HK UTL. So while I was at it I needed a holster that could fit a HK USP .45 with a UTL. So what better place to look at than Safariland. Safarilands have been known to be great and durable and can fit almost any gun with a common attachment. So an order was placed for a Safariland 6004 Holster that will fit a HK USP .45 with an UTL cocked and locked and an ITI M2 UTL with a pressure switch.
Safariland 6004
The holster is solid. It fits the USP and the UTL like a glove. It has three adjustable straps. Two for the leg and one for the hight. After a few minutes of adjusting it fit great with security and did not constrict the blood flow in my leg. The inside layer of the holster has a smooth surface which allows for a smooth draw and holster. The gun is secured two ways, two tension screws and a pivoting band across the top. The screws can be adjusted with an allen wrench (which does not come with the holster). The top strap moves when you push a button to move it forward enabling you to draw the gun from the holster. And once the gun is holstered you can just simply move the strap back secure the gun. It makes for an ideal holster to have in the CQB and outdoors. These holsters are made to take a beating I tend to test it to its limits. I paid a total of $131 for the holster and shipping...and to be honest...its worth every penny. I could not have been any happier with it and I would recommend one to anyone who is thinking about getting one. If I have left anything out, feel free to ask me. This is my first "long" review and I'm not sure if I did a good job or if I left anything out.
ITI M2 UTL
Insight Technology Inc M2 Universal Tactical Light for those of you who are wondering what all the letters stand for. ITI has created a great tactical light for HK USP and USP Compact. The light works on two 3V lithium batteries the core of the light which produce 90+ lumens. It has a nice weight to it that gives the gun a nice feel. It can be quickly attach and detach with the movement of a switch. The beam can be adjusted from spot to flood with the simple turn of the lens. The light comes with batteries and an extra light bulb. I also purchased a pressure witch with it but somehow can't find a good place to put it. Its a little hard to squeeze and hold the light on. I will probably get a slip on grip and see if that will make a difference. However for now I am used to using my finger. The great feature of the light is that it first has a master switch for on and off. Second it has a secondary switch at the bottom which can be pushed to the right and will temporary keep the light on till its removed from the side, or pushed to the left and then it will click into place. I have found that if I want to use the temp light function I just use my left middle finger and if I want to keep it on then I can use either my left or right middle finger. I ended up paying $178 for the light, switch, and shipping. The light was worth every cent as well except the pressure switch was a lil too expensive for how its build. I would recommend this light to someone who has a usp, if you want something different and functional then this is the light for you. It is however on the expensive side.
So overall. I could not be any happier with my new toys. I think they are great investments and look forward to using them soon. I will post some pics for you guys. Maybe now sureshot will be convinced to buy a usp. If I missed something feel free to ask. This is my first "long" review so bare with me if it was too much. But I think some of you will benefit from this.

I saw someone at the Expo in Madison wearing one of those and I had never seen one before so I was going to come home and look it up, but hey! Someone already got the info for me! Thanks.

I think he meant the holster. And iirc, sam, I think the guy (from Wolf Recon, right?) was wearing a SERPA.
Great review, though, Atlas!

There are two great truths in Major League Soccer:
1) Your team is either from Chicago or a suburb of Detroit.
2) Detroit sucks. |

I have two 6004s for the 1911, RH, one in flat dark earth and one that started life as black but the krylon gods blessed it into OD.
I also have an OD 6004 for my Baretta w/Surefire P116 in OD.
I had a second 6004 RH for the 1911 in flat dark earth as well, but since I had two I gave it away to a friend in Maryland.
So I guess I lied - I only have three now.
