Hello, guys! I just joined and i was figured I should get a better automatic weapon. Any suggestions? I was heading in the direction of a m4 or other more compact rifle with a rail. It would be nice if the gun was under $250.

If you want to get a good gun and grenade launcher such as TM or CA or ICS, your total would be a bit more than $400.00

please read the rules again oddwon. and yes if you want to find a good gun under 250, not gunna happen unless you go lpeg, which isnt good. if you look around tho you can find some good airsoft packages for 300. also i would hold up on the grenade launcher. get things you need first

Ok, thanks guys for your advice. Whats the best gun I could get in the $300-375 range. And where could I get it.
Also my UTG Ak-47 could use some hop-ups, where could I get these?
Again thanks for all of your help.

i'm sorry but this has got to be one of the most pointless questions in all of airsoft, not to be rude or anything, read this admin brought this up a while ago and it's pretty helpful, it's helped me decide what gun i want to get twice. (vfc hk416,CA spr). hopefully you can use this to your benefit.

This kind of bugged me, in other forums you says that you would like a "clone" tm m14 (genaral chat: conversion kit help?) and in another forum you talk about the star ump (purchase and repairs: it comes down to two) and in another you consider SRC brande AEGs (general chat:SRC)
yet here you say that classic army is your favorite brand, and looking at your profile you have no guns listed in your inventory, so how could you possibly say that callsic army is your "favorite" brand?
oddwon, make your decision on what you think will suit your needs best (basically a summary of the articale posted earlier.)

Seconded, mustang.
And to answer the question, in the 300-375 range, you're looking at Tokyo Marui (TM), Classic Army (CA), or ICS (what that stands for, I think only Admin knows. ). As for the exact type of gun, that is completely up to you. They're all going to function similar, and have similar power output stock. Take a look at Admin's guide. It really is a great guide. As (I'm assuming) you're of smaller stature due to your age, you may want to look into a smaller rifle, such as an M4 with collapsible stock, or an MP5. The full stock on an M4 would most likely be too long to be comfortable on you. The only reason I think this is my fiance's experience with my M4. She does not feel comfortable with the stock fully extended (in fact, she barely feels comfortable with it half extended). She is about 5'5".

to end this topic OddWoN316, get a ca or tm m4. otherwise i read around and see what people have to say and make your own judgement. cause in the end its you who buy the gun, its you will shoot it, and its you who either like it or not. if you are ever in my area send me a pm and come on over and see my sr15 to get an idea. cool?

That is unless Atlas's house ever gets mysteriously robbed and I end up with a nice shiny new SR15 in my collection.

ICS = I Chih Shivan, i have no idea what it mean in english. Their early models had problems similar to CA having problems with their early models. I considered them for my first AEG but went with CA instead and haven't looked back since. Though people are buying their AEGs more than ever, so I would assume they have gotten better, but their price is going higher than CA, getting close to VFC's prices. I borrowed Shrubber's ICS once and broke it. I don't know what I broke though, probably stripped the piston since he said it was an easy fix.
Atlas, Barrinton Hills is close to us, it's the next town over from Algonquin. So it shouldn't be a problem for him to look over some AEGs if he wants to.
