I think this is starting to get off topic.
Any way, my dad would be more than happy to drive me, he loves airsoft almost as much as he loves me! He would like to join in on HEAT's activities.

1) Your team is either from Chicago or a suburb of Detroit.

Send Atlas or me a pm and we can meet with you, and your dad if you both want. I'm a strong advocate for Classic Army guns so that's what I usually suggest, but if your shooting for ~250 then a TM might be more in your range. That is really want a new one, if not, then a used CA could be in that range too.

Again from what I've learned, range is dictated by power output, as well as hop-up.

Again, if you did just a little bit of research, you could find out these answers for yourself. We have a Game Attendance page that lists who on this site (if they are smart enough to use it) is going to an event. This Sunday's game is listed on there with the most updated list. However, if you already knew about that page and just didn't notice the event since it was added to the list today, then sorry for making you read this.
Even if we aren't there, plenty of players will be happy to brag about their guns and let you see what they are like; we've all been down that road before. Also, look for the host, Justin Brown, who runs the event and owns Combat Sport Supply so he will probably have some fun toys for you to try out.

Dont think all questions are pathetic. Just look a little for youself and if you cant find anything and you are having a hard time with it, ask us.
But Classic Army has a very nice line up of M16/M4 varients that are nice.

^^^ and when you think about what you get CA's are fairly cost effective.

battery has nothing to do with range, or fps. it only affects the rof. it is the spring that pushes the piston which in turn pushes the air through the nozzle propelling the BB. if your battery is only strong enough to shoot 10BB/sec and fires 390fps and reach 150ft. it'll be the same if the battery can shoot 30BB/sec; it'll still be 390fps and 150ft.
Hop up and the spring will affect the range and, to a certain point, also affects accuracy.
