Does anyone on this site own a STAR brand airsoft rifle?. Like a G36 ? Because I'm still on my search to find a Highend airsoft gun that i like and i like the STAR G36c. But i know no one who owns or has shot one. So please if u can help me out with some pointers like what they're made of if there upgradable, etc that would be awesome.

toggle47 has a star L85. its a very nice gun and has a very unique feature. stars use a plastic gear box. his L85 shot 350 with stock internals. whether all stars shot that well idk

Actually, toggle47 would argue that the plastic is just as strong if not stronger than a metal body. You may not be able to pop in an upgraded spring like with some other guns, but I believe he told me that it was shooting above 400 fps when he won it. He would also say some plastics are actually stronger than metal and he would know because he works at Oakley where they sell plastic, yet very strong sunglasses and stuff.
Long story short, the plastic is really pretty strong

For example take a plastic knife or bayonet you can easily stab a person hard plastic ones.

I think they're relating to the plastic used on LPEGs

I've heard good things about STAR AEGs. I really want to shoot one. But JESU do I hate bullpups.
On the other hand, how comfortable is that L85, Toggle? I know it's a bullpup, but they're still useful for something at least.

bullpups are used to shorten overall gun length while still maintaining a long inner barrel...thus the magazine is in the back, being comfortable isn't the only nice/useful feature. but the airsoft versions only use small batteries not a bad thing if you know what you're doing...
i wish i had an L85...

Like Admin said, 400fps stock
Thing is a beast, fires wicked hard, wicked fast
I wouldn't worry about breaking the gearbox. And as for cracking the body, this badboy is all steel, front to back, with the exception of the gearbox and the furniture.
Knight, you really missed out on the win, it is an amazing weapon. But to my good man Lane, it is uncomfortable as a motherfucker. It is wicked heavy and also very boxy, not my style. But I will be definately playing with it often.
From every single STAR Ive handled and fired I have been 100% satisfied... with the exception of Birdy's SAW.
Word..
Back to vanishing off the face of the planet.
