It's glass reinforced plastic, basically.

It's the same type of material that the "plastic" used in real steel weapons are made of, so I'm sure it's more than up to par for airsoft.

Mikeb,

Take this just as a general opinion, but if you're still fairly new to the sport, aim for a mid-grade clone brand AEG and build up the extra stuff you'll need with the spare cash - things like magazines, equipment, good non mesh goggles, boots, BDUs, etc.

Not trying to knock you so please don't take offense - I just feel that a gradual evolution in equipment is better than diving in to a full blown gun and having none of the essentials you'll need to keep up in a game.

Well Ive had many AEG clones like the Tokyo Marui ones and I have been playing airsoft for about..idk 5-6 years now. (those first idk 3 i was playing with springers until i got introduced to the Crossman, UTG, TM clone aeg's)my friend lets me borrow his Classic army m15 in some games so im pretty used to high end rifles. I do like the AGM rifles tho and i might just be looking into the AGM m14 with the things you mentioned. I have regular googles,BDU's boots etc. and everythng like that i just want to move up a notch. But thanks for the help!
