INtel: *SLE will be hosting "CODENAME: Lightning" a mini Thunder-style event with the purpose to test out some new medic and POW rules along with a couple of Special Weapons to be used at CT4. Medic and POW rules will be posted soon.
*We have been given the use of the majority of the rear playing area at Fox, so we will have a large Area of Operations.
*A Commander on each side, one being Breech of Megaforce, and the other is being sought. More to follow..
*We will play 2-3 hour scenarios, with multiple missions within them. We will be trying different medic rules for each scenario, so we'll need feedback from you to make the best rules possible to be used in CT4 and future SLE events.
*Uniform Requirements below *Mag Restrictions: Each player is allowed to have ONE hi-cap magazine, but as many mid-cap and standard mags as they want to carry. Each Squad will have a SAW gunner who can carry unlimited hi-caps for their weapon only, or use box mags.
* We may get to use "Julius" the suburban from the Thunder series of events. TBA
Registration: 8:00am
Mandatory Safety Briefing: 9:00am
Missions Start shortly thereafter
If you are not registered, chrono'd and ready to play, you WILL miss game time.
Full-Seal ANZI-rated goggle w/ Balaclava or FULL-or Modified Protective Mask / Barrel-Blocking Device Required / 400fps w.20g BBs- 350fps w- .25g BBs
Under 18yo MUST wear Full Face protective mask and have signed/notarized waiver-(unless parent/guardian is dropping off)
Uniform *Requirements:
U.S.
Woodland
ACU
Digital / Marpat / Multicam
Realtree
Tigerstripe
British (Green type)
Tangos Anything Goes- with the exception of the U.S. uniforms above
Black
Desert
Tan
Tangos will be allowed to wear pants from the U.S. selection, but their BDU top must be something different, ie. civilian, or other style.
*Players not meeting their teams uniform requirements will not be allowed on the field of play or will be switched to the side their uniform category fits.
Medic rules:
Each player will be given a short section of rope which they will tie a series of 3 knots. This is the players “bandage” When hit, the player will call out hit, place their dead rag on their head, and sit or lay on the ground. Any friendly Medic may then go to the player, get the wounded player’s rope, untie the 3 knots, then hand the rope back to the injured player who then reties 3 knots into the rope. At this point either the player or Medic must tie the rope around a piece of the wounded players gear. Once the rope is tied to their gear, the player is “healed’ and active again.
If nobody “saves” the wounded player within 5 minutes then the player has bled out and must return to their respawn point per the usual procedure. You must remain down for at least 5 minutes before returning to your respawn point. If during the time you are down, you are “tagged out” by an enemy, the enemy may, at their option decide to take you as a POW. (see rules below), otherwise you must then return to the respawn point. A player may only be healed ONE time, after that they are eliminated and must return to their respawn point per normal rules.
Players returning to the respawn point (alive or dead) may remove any currently used “bandages” tied to their gear. Players or Medics may not use their own bandages to heal another player. Any player who does not have 3 knots in his or her rope or who does not have a dead rag may not respawn in field; they must return to the respawn point after waiting their 5 min.
POW rules:
A player can become a POW by surrendering to the enemy, or by being captured (tagged) while wounded, waiting for a Medic. Once captured, POWs are to be taken to your HQ, where a Holding Pen/Prison Camp will be set up. Turn in your POWs, and collect points for your army.
1. NO PHYSICAL CONTACT . That means no throwing to the ground, binding, poking or prodding with weapons, etc.
2. Once a POW, a player will place their hands on their head, and may not reach for their weapons. Players will sling their weapons, mags out. For practical purposes, once a POW, main line weapons and side arms will be considered destroyed. They will not be able to use them until they get back to their HQ/Respawn. This means that even if they break free or are rescued, they will NOT be able to use their weapons until they get back to their HQ/Respawn.
3. POWs will be held for 15 minutes at the camp, then will be released back to their HQ/Respawn points dead rag on, just like normal eliminated players.
4. A POW may try to escape. If they try to escape but are re-captured before getting to friendly territory, an additional 15 min will be added to their time.
5. Radios on a POW MAY NOT be used except in emergencies. POW must switch off their radio upon capture.
6. If a captor says: “I am searching you” All maps, papers or other intel related items must be given up by the player.
7. POWs may not be “killed” as a matter of convenience. Once you have committed to taking a POW, you have committed to taking care of them.
8. Once a POW has arrived at the holding area the team leader will alert the HQ Referee to score the POW points, start the POW timer, and declare the POW per the Geneva Convention.
Is anyone going to this?

Possibility exists. Anyone up for carpool? Also, if I go, I will need ammo. Anyone spare some?

There are two great truths in Major League Soccer:
1) Your team is either from Chicago or a suburb of Detroit.
2) Detroit sucks. |

Must say, for being the first game that I played in a long time, I had a BLAST!
The intense shootouts, capturing POWs, becoming a POW, escaping, getting massacred in the town, it was all just great.
Tbozzle, great to finaly meet you man, I will run with you and your team any time, you guys kick ass!
Airborne, you guys suck, switching sides at the last minute. I will reap my revenge one day. All joking aside you guys were great and I look forward to playing with you guys agian in the future.

I don't think they have a wheelchair ramp for you to get into the tower.
Maybe you should call them and ask them to make the field wheel chair accessable?
