The best guns for shooting far distance are the long ones because they are more accurate. The higher the FPS, the farther the bb can travel too, but be careful not to exceed FPS limits set by airsoft hosts. Be prepared to spend $400+ on a good sniper rifle.

Besides a sniper rifle, a stock Tokyo Marui M14 is said to have excellent range and accuracy (what I've read, neither of my M14s are Marui).

I own a CA g3 sg1 and this thing is great at long range. Upper receiver is ready for a mount and the bipod is a nice touch. I have a new scope and paint job on my g3 . AirsoftGI is having a kick ass sale with this gun too.
