My opinion on this is to get the M4, or any AR type weapone, most are easily available, and with so many different styles of AR you can go many different ways and looks. Want to look current issue Marine? Get any M16A4/M15A4/M4A1 with the MWS(Modular Weapon System[rails]). Want to go oldschool US, get an M16A2, or an M733, or even an XM177. With any of these models, especially the ones with the Flattop upper and an MWS, you can attach countless accessories. I personally love to do this as each different scenario with require a different gear set up.

It contrast, the MP5 is not as versatile a weapon in airsoft. As mentioned in previous posts, it lacks accuracy. Yes, you can get an SD version and put a longer barrel in it. No, you cant upgrade it very far, unless you have a solid stocked version, Where would you put the higher voltage battery? Most MP5 do not readily accept accessories and after-market parts like an AR variant will. Sure, there are several RIS systems out there available as after-market parts and kits, but they are pricey, and alot of times not worth it. While CA/GP/TM/GG, and every other company that makes AR type AEGs makes many different versions with rails.

What it comes down to is, you want accuracy, you want power to the limit, and you want good looks to go with them. GET AN M4A1 type weapon. While with its version 2 mechbox, it cant go up to 400 FPS without eventually breaking, it can go up to 360-375 with out a short box life. It has accuracy, yet it is still tight enough to move around with, even in and out of buildings. With mine, i can reach out and tap guys to incredible distances, yet, still use it just out past our 25 foot surrender distance. Thats with a stock CA barrel.

Meh, get what you want the most, but know, there are no guns superior in my eyes and many other mens eyes as the AR family of guns. Both airsoft and realsteel.

Personally, I'd take the M4 or M16 variant. All around Better gun.

go with the m4. Not only can you custumize it, but most of the tactical gear is made for m4/m16. Plus its always nice to know that the majority of people have the same gun so if any probs come up there is a lot of info and lets say in a game u need a mag..there would usually be some1 around to toss you one. they are popular because they are great.. and think about it..how many cqb games are u gonna play? And if its a lot..just to let u know a lot of people did fine last week at asylum V with their m4's..my buddy had no prbs at all..food for though bro
