Earlier this week H.E.A.T. aquired their first hand grenades for the team. †oggle purchased two Escort M26A1 hand grenades powered by green gas. These are a great new addition to his arsenal of weapons. |
From the pin to the spoon, all the way across the boards, these grenades carry high realism on the field. They load green gas through the top and rounds (6mm, 8mm, flour, nerds, etc) from the bottom. The player pulls the pin, throws it, and BOOM!
With an adjustable fuse time, the player can set the grenades to go off three seconds after the spoon is released, five seconds, whatever they want. After the "fuse" runs out, gas pushes out a rubber stopper which propels the rounds out of the grenade.
You might wonder; "how do rounds fire out the top of the grenade as well as the bottom?"
Using two stoppers, held together by an adjustable length of string, the grenade fires out the bottom and actually reflects a percentage of the rounds back the other direction. Depending on how the length of string is adjusted determines what direction the rounds will go.
The build material is a very durable plastic with great texture along with the metal spoon/pin/core gas system. As far as †oggle has tested them, they are very durable and ultimately safe to throw on the field.
Aside from all of the other attractive features of this weapon, the fact that they are completely reusable truly takes the cake. Just remember where you're throwing them and duck. Pick it up post-game, rinse, repeat.
†oggle is looking forward to toying with them more to see where they work best. Despite his extensive collection of weapons, this new addition really is something special.
A friendly word of advice from your pals on H.E.A.T.: If you are ever on †oggle's apposing force, don't allow yourself to be in throwing distance of him.
